OK, so you've bought your players, played your first game and your players have earned some experience points (XP). The question is, what did you get the XP for and why that specific amount?
Experience points in Chaos League work off a 'level up' table, much like an RPG. Once you hit a certain number of an action, you get a level-up and some XP to spend on new skills. For a while it seemed a bit of a mystery as to just how the XP were awarded, but thanks to Storm from Cyanide, we have the table for your perusal, as well as an explanation of how it works.
The table below shows the actions each players can do in a match, with the number of each action (career total, not in a game) required to reach each level. Once a player hits a new level, the number of that level (i.e. 2 for level 2) is multiplied by the multiplier for that action to get the number of XP awarded.
For example, a player who gets his first kill (for a career total of 1) will move up to level 1 in killing. So we multiply the 1 by the action multiplier (6), to get 6 XP awarded.
| Action | Level 1 | Level 2 | Level 3 | Level 4 | Level 5 | Level 6 | Level 7 | Multiplier |
| Passing | 2 | 4 | 8 | 16 | 32 | 64 | 128 | 2 |
| Reception | 1 | 2 | 4 | 8 | 16 | 32 | 64 | 2 |
| Interception | 1 | 2 | 4 | 8 | 16 | 32 | 64 | 4 |
| Tackle | 5 | 10 | 20 | 40 | 80 | 160 | 320 | 2 |
| Killing | 1 | 2 | 4 | 8 | 16 | 32 | 64 | 6 |
| Injuring | 1 | 3 | 6 | 12 | 24 | 48 | 96 | 4 |
| KOs | 2 | 4 | 8 | 16 | 32 | 64 | 128 | 2 |
| Touchdowns | 2 | 4 | 8 | 16 | 32 | 64 | 128 | 4 |
There are also two types of bonus available at each new level. Different player types get bonuses for certain skills (e.g. a lineman gets a bonus for tackling and interceptions). For players moving up a level in one of their bonus actions, they get an extra 2 XP on top. The table below shows which actions are rewarded with bonuses for each player type:

The second bonus is dependent on which division the team is playing in:
Division 3 0 points
Division 2 2 point
Division 1 4 points
Premier Division 6 points
